Rākau Roroa wins Best Blended Learning Award

Changing Minds recently celebrated Rākau Roroa’s (Tall Trees) win at the New Zealand Association of Training and Development (NZATD), Learning and Development Awards 2021. NZATD is a professional association for workplace learning and performance, training, learning and development specialists in Aotearoa. The awards are modelled after the association’s Competency Framework, which recognises that learning and development practitioners come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide range of skills.

Rākau Roroa won the Best Blended Learning Award which recognises excellence in the design and implementation of blended learning solutions. Through Rākau Roroa we have trained and supported a growing forest of Facilitators and Mentors who use their personal lived experience of mental distress and/or addiction to inspire others. We are proud to have run this Programme and continue to see and support as our own whanau of 125+ Tall Trees in our Rākau Roroa network creating their own social movement for positive change across the motu.

While we have pressed “pause-for-launch” on the digital platform, our aim is to make it accessible to as many people as possible.

Thank you to the team at Smartwork Creative for their mahi in co-designing Rākau Roroa as a digital learning platform.

He mana tō te mātau ā-wheako - Our lived experience is our strength.
